Applications for the WACCBIP Early Career Personal Development Course 2020 are now open. The West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) is organising the second Early Career Personal Development Course at the University of Ghana from January 14-17, 2020.
This intensive course designed for Post-Doctoral Fellows, Research Fellows and Early Career Lecturers in Biomedical Sciences and related academic disciplines, aims to provide an overview of many of the areas that influence the professional development of young investigators, including personal development, educational knowledge, science management, research group leadership, mentoring, approaches to building a career, transferable and specific skills such as grant writing and presentations.
The course will be led by Course Director, Professor Keith Gull (University of Oxford), together with WACCBIP Faculty and collaborators from Cornell Medical School, Oxford Brookes University, and other leading institutions.
Eligibility
- Open to early-career scientists (1-3 years post-PhD) conducting active research in any West African institution.
