1. Sewerage Superitendent
The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager and will be responsible for coordinating, controlling and overseeing Sewerage Services within our area of jurisdiction in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and supervise all activities of the section and ensure operations are carried out in a cost effective manner.
- Develop and implement PPM program for the sewer network
- Plan and supervise the removable of sewer blockages, repairs and maintenance.
- Design and oversee construction works and ensure the quality and standard of work are as per the specifications.
- Organise and supervise the installation of new sewer connections and regularly inspect the installations.
- Oversee the regular quality testing of the raw sewage and the effluents from the treatment works and ensure they meet national standards.
- Prepare work schedules, job cards and maintain good operational records
- Ensure that required inputs are collected from stores and work teams or staff carry out their tasks effectively.
- Liaise with other sections in handling customer complaints regarding the provision of sewerage services.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Technical Manager.
- Ensure that work shifts at the disposal works operate smoothly and effectively.
- Identify developing areas that may be considered for sewer mains extensions and recommend to the Technical Manager.
- Ensure the section has sufficient tools and equipment to carry out work timely and effectively.
- Ensure sound occupational health and safety practices are maintained for all activities in the section
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Water Engineering from a recognised Institution with at least five (5) working years relevant experience, two (2) of which must be at senior management level OR:
- Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering with At least seven (7) working years relevant experience, three (3) of which must be at senior management level
- Must be Proficient in Design and Supervision of large Sewer Network and Construction of Sewage Treatment Plants iii. Computer Proficiency with a working knowledge of office applications, AutoCAD etc.
Terms of Employment
Three (3) Year renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance.
2. Production & Electromechanical Superitendent
The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager and will be responsible for efficient maintenance of electromechanical infrastructures and ensuring abstraction and production of potable water in a cost effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Carry out on schedule PPM programs for all the electro-mechanical plants.
- Prepare work schedules, job cards and supervise staff.
- Ensure that spares are collected from stores and work teams or staff are provided with required inputs to carry out their tasks effectively.
- Ensure work done meets the required standards
- Help in preparation of bills of quantities
- Assist in the inspection of stores deliveries to ensure procurement of proper quantity and quality of relevant material
- Assist the Technical Manager in inspection of outsourced work or any capital works and ensure that the completed works conform to the required standard. viii. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports and submit to the Technical manager
- Keep proper inventory of all electromechanical equipment and plants and maintain proper maintenance records.
- Ensure that all the activities and programs are cost effective to achieve the overall Company objectives
- Prepare the draft budget for the section
- Ensure efficient operation of production wells and water treatment plants.
- Plan and supervise Water Operators
- Ensure Implementation of operational procedures and guidelines for water production systems.
- Ensure that good quality water that meets national standards is produced and that water production targets are achieved on a daily basis.
- Requisition for water production inputs e.g. chemicals etc. from stores and responsible for their proper utilization and safety. xvii. Monitor water treatment processes and ensure water treatment chemicals are applied optimally.
- Ensure security of the plant and water treatment systems xix. Reports all plant breakdowns or malfunctions to the Technical Manager.
- Ensure Follow up maintenance of broken down equipment and plants with the responsible officers.
- Keep proper operational records for all production plants. xxii. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on production and chemical usage. These shall be sent to the Technical Manager. xxiii. In liaison with the Technical Manager , assess infrastructural needs of the Production Facilities,
- Ensure sound occupational health and safety practices are maintained for all activities in the section
- Ensure cleanliness at all water production sites. xxvi. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil /Mechatronics Engineering With Five (5) Years Progressive experience in relevant field – two (2) must be in senior management OR:
- Higher National Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with seven (7) years Progressive experience in relevant field three (3) must be in senior management)
- Must be proficient in Water Quality Analysis and Preventative Maintenance of Pumps and other electronic equipment iii. Computer proficiency with a working knowledge of office applications/ AutoCAD etc.
Terms of Employment
Three (3) Year renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance.
