Job Purpose

To be based in Kenya and to work closely with RHQ MEA & SA in driving the growth and securing the short- and long-term revenue targets in the assigned targeted territories to meet company’s business objectives. Specific focus for ICT solution sales in public sector.

Key Accountabilities

  • Achievement of profit margin, revenue and contract value targets set for the assigned territories
  • Increase company’s market share and profitability for assigned territories
  • Prospecting, Sales and Account Management at strategic levels for selected strategic accounts
  • Contribution towards the RHQ’s strategic plans and implementation
  • Development and management of alliances with partners

Job Responsibilities:

Business Planning & Marketing

  • Formulates, recommends, and implements marketing, sales, and account management strategies to increase market share and profitability.
  • Develops and prepares sales forecast.
  • Plan, Organize and Participate in trade shows, event hosting and marketing events.

Development and management

  • Recommend and pursues new channels and business opportunities.
  • Plans and identifies target groups and topic focus for GTM events.
  • Collaborates with other business unit in (Product Presales team / Delivery team) deal pursuits, closure, and account management, and (for Mass Market business) extension of existing services and development/roll-out of viable new services targeting current and new customer segments

Sales and Account Management

  • Identify and penetrate new, and up-sell and grow share-of-pocket of existing, major accounts.
  • Pursues prospects, business opportunities and assist in constructing appropriate terms of sales.
  • Establishes strong and close client relationships with strategic customers.
  • Assists customers to identify and determine funding agency, budget, and timeframe.
  • Interprets customer needs and works to meet those needs.
  • Identifies potential business opportunities.
  • Build sales pipelines and achieve sales targets.
  • Assist oversights of project development and updates customers on the project status.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned

Requirements

Minimum Years/Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of working experience with at least 5 years of regional business development and good account management/sales experience.
  • Experience in Infocomms & Technology Industry, and/or Government & Public Sector business.
  • Beneficial to have exposure to Trade & Logistics sector or related to Customs/Trade Compliance.
  • Able to work well independently and in a team.
  • A go-getter, self-driven and result-oriented
  • Comfortable with long term contract employment arrangement.
