About The Role

Apollo is seeking an experienced marketing channel manager to oversee our integrated channel marketing approach. This role will be key in supporting the Sales function to drive campaigns that facilitate the achievement of our growth targets. You will be responsible for planning, executing and monitoring marketing strategies across our various marketing and sales channels. The Integrated Channels Manager will drive our key integrated growth campaigns, working cross-functionally across our marketing and sales teams to optimize our marketing channel mix, deliver high-performing creative, measure the success of our campaigns and reach key marketing milestones.

In this role, you will lead a team to develop creative strategies that capture the attention and excitement of small-scale farmers, build multiple channels for scalable, low-cost customer acquisition, and radically increase Apollo’s brand recognition across Kenya and beyond.

Your Day-to-Day

• Design and execute Apollo’s marketing strategies. This includes design and oversight of rural marketing campaigns and events that drive new customer acquisition, as well as longer-term brand awareness strategies that make Apollo a known and trusted brand among farmers across Kenya and beyond.
• Spend a significant amount of time in the field, both building a strong understanding of our customer base by working directly with our farmers, and overseeing field marketing efforts directly.
• Evaluate and understand our current channel marketing approach, using a data-driven approach to improve on existing channels e.g. radio, roadshows, referrals, etc.
• Identify and develop additional new channels to increase Apollo’s reach and connection to our customers
• Develop and implement marketing strategies specific to each channel to optimize the impact and effectiveness of outreach
• Work closely with the Sales department and other verticals to ensure that all channel marketing campaigns are aligned and support seasonal growth targets
• Build an excellent team to ensure the Integrated Channel vertical is performing optimally

• A seasoned channel marketing professional, familiar with successfully managing multiple channels simultaneously
• An innovator who excels at both identifying new channels and optimizing existing channels
• An analytical mind who understands how to use data and metrics to drive creative decisions
• A skilled marketing channel manager, ideally with a background in B2C execution – FMCG experience would be an added advantage
• An excellent manager who can build, maintain and motivate a high performing team
